An opera of the everyday about small digital images used in electronic communication.
Do you use emojis when:
❑ a) you are sad and lonely?
❑ b) you feel your friends are distant?
❑ c) you feel the need to reassure your chat partner?
❑ d) in a work context?
Are emojis:
❑ a) parasites to language?
❑ b) a welcome transposition into written language of tonal inflections borrowed from speech?
❑ c) cute and playful?
❑ d) costly?
When you receive an emoji, do you feel:
❑ a) the love?
❑ b) misunderstood?
❑ c) like the person who sent you the message is having fun?
❑ d) nothing?
You often:
❑ a) have dreams where your words are replaced by icons?
❑ b) wonder if emojis are spying on you?
❑ c) imagine what a world without them would be?
❑ d) wonder when emojis really started to exist?
